Road trip

Did someone say road trip? Road trip season is coming up soon so today we are going to talk about how to prepare your car for a long road trip. This will include talking about car maintenance, car safety kits and also not relying on your cell phone when you have car issues. We'll also discuss one item that most drivers don't think about but should never be forgotten and should always be in your car. This item can save you a lot of time and money should you have a car roadside emergency.

How to prepare your car for a long road trip: It's that time of the year...

Aside from spring break in early March, summer road trips are an American staple as school gets out and families take to the roads for adventure. These road trips include trips to see family and friends, the beach, state parks as well as many more different types of trips.

According to USATODAY.com, "More than 41.5 million people will travel for the 2018 Memorial Day weekend, which is 4.8% more than last year, according to AAA travel club. That would be the most travelers since 2005 for the holiday period that this year runs from May 24 through May 28, according to AAA. A strong economy and growing consumer confidence are giving Americans all the motivation they need to kick off what we expect to be a busy summer travel season with a Memorial Day getaway,” said Bill Sutherland, senior vice president for AAA Travel and Publishing."

For a majority of Americans, these road trips can be long so preparing your car is essential to ensuring a safe and successful road trip. By preparing, you can also save a lot of time and money and make your trip even more enjoyable.

  • Checking the car battery
  • Checking your brakes
  • Checking the wiper blades and lights
  • Checking the oil
  • Checking the fluids

How to prepare your car for a long road trip: Cell phones don't always work...

We get it, cell phones are a necessity that we agree about 100%. The fact is though many drivers think they can just make a cell phone call when they have car issues. Unfortunately, in this day and age, cell phones still do not always work. As such, we advised to not rely on your cell phone as a means of taking care of car problems while driving especially on long road trips. Many times a road trip can take you to remote areas which means you may not have cell phone service. As such, it's best to prepare by knowing that you can take of the situation without having a cell phone.

A very cool board of flexible silicone tyre like rubber i presume? I'll Check it out and look further into it too. It's true we cant rely on cellular devices in some remote areas and not being prepared in advance is counterproductive to traveling for leisure. Those items I shall do a personal check list with. I think I have a few but travel very rarely.
